How and why does GoodLife Foods collect personal data?

GoodLife Foods collects personal data in the course of its business activities. In most cases, this involves data that GoodLife Foods requests from the data subject or that the data subject provides voluntarily. What personal data does GoodLife Foods process and why does it do so?

GoodLife Foods processes various types of personal data for various reasons. The data it processes on a regular basis includes:

Is this personal data shared with others?

Does the personal data remain in Europe?

In this context, we refer to the European Economic Area (EEA). This consists of the EU countries, as well as Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland. All countries outside this area are considered third countries.

In some cases, GoodLife Foods transfers personal data to third countries, in particular the United States or the United Kingdom.

For transfers to the United Kingdom, for example to the GoodLife Foods location, the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision. This means that an adequate level of protection for your personal data is already in place in the United Kingdom.

Regarding the United States, we try to only transfer data to parties certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Due to ongoing developments regarding international data transfers, the measures taken by recipients may change from time to time.

GoodLife Foods therefore refers you to the privacy statements of these recipients themselves for the most up-to-date information on the protective measures in place. This applies to the following parties:

  • Mailchimp – for sending newsletters
  • Microsoft – for facilitating, among other things, the email system
  • Workday – our recruitment system

How long is the data retained?

The retention periods for the data that GoodLife Foods processes may vary, depending on the category of data and how it was collected.

In any case, data will be erased when you withdraw your consent.

We retain your application data for four weeks or, with your consent, for one year after the application process has been completed.

We may extend the data retention period in certain cases, for example if we need the data for a longer period due to a dispute or if the data has been included in a backup as part of security measures.
